Newly Renovated, 3 King Bedrooms, 3 Bath, pool, ocean views!

The Bayview Villa was fully renovated for 2020, Doors and windows, kitchen cabinets and appliances, all furniture, new landscaping, paint inside and out, Wi-Fi throughout, literally everything. However; the new owners kept the original name, not only is it bad luck to change the name, but the name is precisely descriptive of the most outstanding thing about the property, the views! As construction proceeded, everybody that worked on the project was awed by the views and we were told several times that the views from this property would likely be in the top 10 views from any house on the island; from the back porches and windows (north shore, Atlantic Ocean), Maho Bay, Francis Bay, and the Great Harbor on Jost Van Dyke/Foxy’s and the neighboring Soggy Dollar; from the front porches and windows (south shore, Caribbean Ocean) a full view of Coral Bay, Bordeaux Mountain and several more of the BVI’s. Also, being located along the ridge of Ajax Peak, there is usually a pleasant and welcome breeze to help keep folks cool. The pool deck has a cabana and a bar for shade and a frig for serving drinks, and the railing does not block the amazing views. The property is double gated for security and to keep the local donkeys and deer out of the gardens. Another mentionable is that the parking area is flat, and the access to the property on the main roads, including the driveway is not difficult to traverse.

The kitchen and living room pod are open concept and easily flow onto the covered back porch to another seating area and dining table to double the space. TV, internet, ceiling fans and fantastic views make this area the owner’s favorite place to relax on the property.

Each of the air conditioned bedroom suites have King size beds, private baths, private sitting areas, and were given individual names and personality:

The Island Room is the bedroom suite on the same level as the kitchen/living space and shares the same premier views as the main living space on both sides of the bedroom. The accessibility to the kitchen and the view of both the north and south shore beaches also make this the owner’s favorite suite.

The Garden Room is a bedroom suite at pool deck level. This area is adjacent to the newly landscaped flower gardens and food gardens that include most every native flower and banana trees, starfruit, mango, cherry, avocado, lemon, lime, papaya, and more to come. This suite also boasts both north and south shore views, and the most convenience to the laundry facilities.

The Writer’s Room is another bedroom suite at pool deck level and has the best access to the pool deck. It is a tribute to the original owner’s of Bayview, Will Roberts and Diane Esser. Will calls the house “Diane’s dream and design”, and he as a retired English professor has written several books, a fiction series of which takes place on St. John with many island places, people and local cultural references. A set of his books is kept in this room for anyone to read. We are thankful to them for creating this beautiful house for all of us to enjoy.
