One could not imagine a more glorious view than the one from the elegant perch of La Mer.  This stucco mediterranean 4 bedroom villa rises up from the hillside of Bordeaux Mountain on unspoiled St. John. From this incredible perch, you are as high as you can get without being a bird in flight. Views extend from Jost Van Dyke and Sandy Cay to the North to Virgin Gorda, all the way down the string of pearls known as the Virgin Islands.

This 4 bedroom luxury home is located down a private paved road that is heavily shaded with tropical trees and fauna.  The glamorous house is tastefully appointed with original artwork and exotic elements such as bamboo stakes held in urns, African sculpture, and bronze herons.  The thoughtful design creates harmony between the indoor and outdoor space and enhances the romance of the spectacular setting.

The inviting pool is set in a sheltered courtyard between two pods.  It opens into the breathtaking views and offers a cool retreat after a day on one of St. John’s glorious beaches and is also a great place to soak and stargaze on balmy nights.

This designer decorated home offers glorious surprises at every turn. At once inviting and exotic, with a lush, rich color scheme set off by light bamboo furnishings, this home offers a king size four poster bed in the master bedroom and a gorgeous stone shower large enough for two, offering views all the way to Virgin Gorda. The other 3 bedrooms offer equally appealing furnishings and baths and all have magnificent views.

The kitchen is a gourmet’s delight with beautiful custom ash cabinetry, granite countertops, and an island bar large enough for an indoor meal.  The room opens up with large doors onto a covered balcony with a dining table and comfortable seating.  The view is spellbinding.

The traditional Caribbean style great room encompasses the kitchen, sitting area and breakfast bar;  it opens, with large doors, onto a balcony with a dining table.  With a choice of three separate eating areas and a gourmet kitchen, planning a meal and setting the stage is as much of a joy as sitting down to enjoy it.

La Mer easily sleeps up to 10 persons but is as wonderful for a romantic escape for two as it is for a large group of friends. This is a non smoking home and is not ideal for small children. It is, however, everything that we promise and more…

RESERVATIONS/INFO

DEPOSIT

All reservations are subject to a 50% deposit of the full rental amount. Once you have phoned in your reservation you will have two weeks to send your payment. If we do not receive your payment within this time frame your ‘hold’ on the property will be cancelled without further notice. The balance of the rent, 12.5% hotel tax and damage insurance fee will be due no later than 30 days prior to your arrival date. No reservation is confirmed until you have returned a deposit. Submission of your reservation form constitutes your acceptance of our rental policy.

If you have received a discounted rate or are booking for 5 days or less you can make your way to our office or pay a $65 arrival fee to be met at the dock.  If you arrive on the 7 PM ferry or later there is an additional $80 fee that will be added to your invoice. A 3% credit card fee is applied if paying with Visa or MasterCard.

Rates are based on double occupancy per bedroom. THIS MEANS 2 PEOPLE WILL GET ONE BEDROOM, 4 PEOPLE WILL GET 2 BEDROOMS, 6 PEOPLE WILL GET 3 BEDROOMS etc., unless other arrangements have been made. The total occupancy permitted in the villa is restricted to the number of guests who have booked and paid. Any additional guest must pay upon arrival or vacate the premises immediately. No house parties or weddings are allowed without advance written permission from Windspree Vacation Homes. Additional fees may apply. A quiet family atmosphere must be maintained at all times so as not to disturb other residents of the neighborhood.

CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event you are forced to cancel, we will make every effort to re-book your villa for a 10% service charge. However, no deposits will be refunded unless a replacement rental is obtained. We may be able to reschedule your visit to another time slot in the future. Refund arrangements can largely depend on the amount of notice given to us of the cancellation, and on the time of year. For peace of mind, we recommend cancellation insurance available through your agent or call for a referral. No refunds will be given for early departure unless there is a serious problem that cannot be cured within 24 hours or causes the guest extreme discomfort or serious inconvenience.
