The Secret Seashell is an owner-built, 3-bedroom, 3.5-bath masonry villa located in the Coral Bay area, on the pristine and remote peninsula of Fortsberg Estate.  This is the ideal setting for complete relaxation, to disconnect from fast-paced distraction. The covered masonry balcony is a luxurious place to soak in the peaceful surroundings. The view is entirely private, with not another house in sight, surrounded by purifying natural elements in one of the most beautiful spots in the world… A gorgeous rocky beach is located within walking distance of the house.  From the balcony, enjoy the relaxing rhythm of waves rolling over the rocks.

The stately great room is designed with an open Caribbean-style floor plan, with a fully equipped and modern kitchen looking out into a gracious sitting area and the breathtaking private view beyond.

An expansive paved driveway takes you from the dirt road to The Secret Seashell, with a majestic view of the ocean and the curvilinear coastline of Coral Bay.

Listen to the waves from the comfortably furnished poolside gazebo.

The three bedrooms have full private baths and air conditioning.  The two lower bedrooms each have small refrigerators and coffee makers.  The master bedroom upstairs has a large outdoor shower connected to the private bath.

The special area of Estate Fortsberg, where Secret Sea Shell is located, is pristine and private, along a private dirt road by the edge of the harbor.  It is graced by sunrises, untouched shoreline, ideal for beach combing, and woods that is home to a variety of wildlife including a great many birds.  A corral along the county road leading to Secret Sea Shell provides opportunities for horseback riding in the area.  The National Park, with its hiking trails and gorgeous beaches, is also nearby.  A more desirable situation cannot be found on the beautiful island of St. John. The charming area of Coral Bay offers convenient shopping and affordable, elegant waterfront dining. The thoughtful design of Secret Seashell enables it to be rented as both a three-bedroom for six or, alternatively, as a one-bedroom luxury villa for two, as the downstairs two-bedrooms can be closed off.

RESERVATIONS/INFO

DEPOSIT
All reservations are subject to a 50% deposit of the full rental amount. Once you have phoned in your reservation you will have two weeks to send your payment. If we do not receive your payment within this time frame your ‘hold’ on the property will be cancelled without further notice. The balance of the rent, 12.5% hotel tax and damage insurance fee will be due no later than 30 days prior to your arrival date. No reservation is confirmed until you have returned a deposit. Submission of your reservation form constitutes your acceptance of our rental policy.

If you have received a discounted rate or are booking for 5 days or less you can make your way to our office or pay a $65 arrival fee to be met at the dock.  If you arrive on the 7 PM ferry or later there is an additional $80 fee that will be added to your invoice. A 3% credit card fee is applied if paying with a Visa or MasterCard.

Rates are based on double occupancy per bedroom. THIS MEANS 2 PEOPLE WILL GET ONE BEDROOM, 4 PEOPLE WILL GET 2 BEDROOMS, 6 PEOPLE WILL GET 3 BEDROOMS etc., unless other arrangements have been made. The total occupancy permitted in the villa is restricted to the number of guests who have booked and paid. Any additional guest must pay upon arrival or vacate the premises immediately. No house parties or weddings are allowed without advance written permission from Windspree Vacation Homes. Additional fees may apply. A quiet family atmosphere must be maintained at all times so as not to disturb other residents of the neighborhood.

CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event you are forced to cancel, we will make every effort to re-book your villa for a 10% service charge. However, no deposits will be refunded unless a replacement rental is obtained. We may be able to reschedule your visit to another time slot in the future. Refund arrangements can largely depend on the amount of notice given to us of the cancellation, and on the time of year. For peace of mind, we recommend cancellation insurance available through your agent or call for a referral. No refunds will be given for early departure unless there is a serious problem that cannot be cured within 24 hours or causes the guest extreme discomfort or serious inconvenience.
